Moving forward to April we had a death in the family and those funds needed allocated elsewhere. The salesmen even made the comment were in the Uber rich column and I said no we save and pay for it. After bargaining with my husband we sign the contract. I told him we had to pay for a new roof and just wanted estimate. The salesman was polite but very pushy and said well loose the price if we don't sign now. We had entered a contract in Jan for gutters to be installed in April. This was too much money to accept as a job professionally and properly done.

Strike two, one more chance, then its looking like a lawsuit. I opened a new ticket, and an onsite appointment date and time window was scheduled for earlier this week. They did say they would check into it and pass it on "to the right department". They did not provide me a copy of the ticket. I contacted LeafFilter and was informed that as far as they were concerned the ticket was closed there was no additional actions stated on the ticket (Right?!?!?!).

The tech told me that he and another tech would be scheduled to return and correct the problems. Talking further to the Tech that day also revealed that the sub-contractor that did my installation was NOT the regular sub used for these jobs. LeafFilter guards installed flat, without appropriate angle to shed debris. Insufficient quantity of hangers/supports installed causing LeafFilter guards to warp.ģ. Gutters installed with inappropriate pitch in multiple places causing standing water.Ģ.

Not only did the tech clean the gutters around the entire house, he also noted problems with the gutter and guard installation:ġ. Service was exceptionally fast and the tech was amazing. I have no idea what the lead installer's name was, but as mentioned English was not his first language which created a communication challenge. Hopefully the Leaf-Filter system/product was installed properly since it was installed within an hour and a half for a 2100 square foot two story home. The installers finished the installation in record time, and it showed, after they left, I had to pick up over a dozen sheet metal screws, and other debris off of my driveway and back patio. Over an hour passed before the installers returned, and the installer mentioned they took their lunch break, but didn't bother telling me where they had gone, or when they would return…. I finally called the person that contacted me that morning to ask him, where did your installers go, but he had no idea. The person didn't speak very good English, so communications was poor at best, then they left my home with no indication when they would return. I asked the installer that knocked on my door to give a few minutes so I could, as mentioned, bring my dogs into the house and few other things.

The next issue arrived when I received a phone call at 8:30am the day before the scheduled installation date, and was asked if they could install the Leaf-Filter product a day early, and told him, yes, but please call me 15 minutes before you show up so I could take care of a few things in preparation of the installation, but no call, they just showed up. I was forced to contact Alex the next day to discuss why he only gave me a 5 percent senior discount, not your nationally advertised 10 percent senior discount, and it took me saying cancel my order before he agreed to provide me with the 10 percent senior discount. I'll start my product review with Leaf-Filter's sales person, Alex Elliot, as he was pleasant, but with a used-car salesman approach, which I somewhat expected when it involves expensive home improvement products.
